He was a member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) and played a crucial role in several revolutionary activities, including the Kakori Train Robbery and the assassination of British police officer John Saunders.

Azad’s life was cut short on February 27, 1931, when he was martyred in a shootout with British police in Allahabad. However, his legacy lives on, and his name has become synonymous with courage, patriotism, and sacrifice.
