Kranti Daud started at 6pm from Raigad killa reached Vedanta college at 9am.

The 15 hours non stop run was a relay run with 15 runners that included Dr CA Vishwanathan Iyer, Vice Principal, Vedanta College and Mr.Shivraj Bennurkar sir (Sports coach). We were assisted by Ms. Sakshi Bhavsar, admin staff who led a 10 members volunteers team on bike for support.

The purpose of this run was celebration of  Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav and  #Harghartirangaa call given by Hon. Prime minister Shri Narendra Modiji.

Vedanta Foundation supported this run selflessly and our Principal Dr Sangeeta Kohli madam gave her 100% support too.

The entire running contingent was welcomed by 200 plus students, degree college teachers, Junior college teachers and non-teaching Staff of Vedanta college. 

It was a special feeling. The flag which was carried by runners was handed over to Principal madam as a token of gratitude.

The run was a historic run because this was the first relay run from Raigad Killa to Vithalwadi undertaken by any college in Thane district.

Hope to take up socially relevant causes and spread awareness through such runs regularly by Sports committee, Nss committee of Vedanta College.
